Download active transportation6/27/2023 ![]() To speed up the completion of cycling paths, LTA is taking a phased approach to construct cycling paths in stretches as soon as feasibility studies are completed. ![]() LTA will work closely with other agencies to assess these options and engage other relevant stakeholders ahead of any changes.Ĥ Under the ICN programme, LTA is accelerating the construction of cycling paths across the island to allow residents to enjoy the benefits sooner. When progressively completed from next year, active mobility users will enjoy improved interconnectivity to key amenities including transport nodes, schools and neighbourhood centres such as Bukit Merah, Boon Keng and Tiong Bahru.ģ Due to space constraints in some of these built-up areas, adjustments to facilities such as drains and bus stops may be required. Active mobility connectivity in Central Singapore will be further enhanced with the building of more cycling paths in the city and city fringe areas under LTA’s Islandwide Cycling Network (ICN) programme.Ģ LTA has called for a tender for the construction of new cycling paths in the central region covering areas such as Bukit Merah, Telok Blangah, Kallang and the city. ![]()
